Books are a way of escaping the world we live in and this why I love reading! From fantasy, to dystopian, and the occasional romance...I am an AVID reader and love when I can get some good bargains on books in the process!

This post is dedicated to showing off the books I bought from Books A Million! While I usually go to McKays and really stock up, I decided I'd run by BAM and check out their bargain section and man did I get lucky by only spending $37! While shopping I racked up on four books, a book sleeve (to protect my larger books), and a cute bag that says "Book Nerd"! I'll post pictures of each item below with a little description!

Marauders Map Book Sleeve:

Since I love reading, this means I am also very protective of my books. Let's be honest...I treat my books just as well as people treat their pets! After receiving one of these for Christmas, I fell in love with them and figured out some of my bigger books that are 650+ pages wouldn't fit inside the super cute Christmas one. I was super sad because I love it so much, but then I walked into BAM and saw this one! For $15 I said YESSS and decided to buy it so that my bigger books wouldn't feel left out when I used my smaller one. *insert laughing emojis and rolling eye emojis* This book sleeve is about 12in x 9in and fits most 650+ page books! I also just knew I had to buy it when it had Harry Potter all over the front and back!

Book #1: The Darkest Star

So, after seeing this book all over booktok I added it to my to be read list! I was planning on going to McKays to buy it when they had it in stock, but then I headed to the bargain section in BAM and I got lucky because they had a hardback version for $3.97! Here's a short little synopsis of the book...

"Seventeen-Year-Old Evie Dasher knows firsthand the devastating consequences of humanity's war, but her life was forever changed when her father, Sergeant Jason Dasher was killed in a battle. Book #2: The Diabolic

I've actually never heard of this book until I saw it sitting on the shelf. My friend Catie picked it up and said, "Hey this looks like a book you'd read!" So, here we are buying it without even really knowing what's it about. Luckily, it was only $3.97 which once again makes me so happy! Here's a short synopsis...

"A diabolic is ruthless, powerful, and has a single task...killing in order to protect the person you've been assigned to. For Nemesis, this perso is Sidonia, heir to the Senate. Book #3: Blood Rose Rebellion

I honestly haven't heard of this book either, but when I saw it on the shelf and read the plot I knew I had to have it. The bargain section at BAM is just one you can't pass up because the prices are so good! I mean come on, I got this one for $3.97 too when it was originally $17.99, AND it's a hardback! Here's another short synopsis...

Born into a high British society, Anna Arden had been trained for every position she will never fill. Though a member of the Luminates, the ruling class who can use magic to exercise power, Anna cannot perform the simplest of spells. Book #4: Debutantes & Daggers

Okay, this one seems so cheesy which means I had to buy it. It was also only $3 which was another sign it had to be mine. After reading the back of the book, I started laughing and then said to myself, "You know AG, you should probably take a break from the books filled with fantasy and beheadings and read something else.". So that's what I'm doing! Here's a short synopsis...

"Harper Price is the ultimate southern belle, homecoming queen, and a complete type A, but then Harper's perfect world is transformed. She becomes a Paladin: a member of a group of ancient assassins who has the instincts of a warrior. Too bad she's charged with protecting David Stark - her least favorite person on earth."

That's all! I also bought a really cute reusable bag that says "Book Nerd", but I didn't take a picture of it because it's shown pretty clearly in the main picture with all of the books. Hope you enjoy reading this! Now, go buy yourself some books and get to reading!
